WARNING: Although this model is a toy, observe basic safety rules when handling it.
Handling Rules
Always treat the model as if it were a real firearm. Never point it at people or animals, even as a joke.
Workspace
Perform assembly in a clean, well-lit area. Prepare a clean surface and necessary tools.
Printer set-up
Be sure to perform the built-in calibrations of the OrcaSlicer. This will help print the gun parts more accurately and improve print quality. I recommend printing in 3-4 walls (perimeter), 5 bottom layers and 6 lid layers.
Tools
For assembly you may need: pliers, wire cutters/nippers, utility knife.
Materials
To provide projectile propelling force, rubber bands with a diameter of 20-30 mm can be used. During design, 25 mm diameter rubber bands were used. You may also need superglue.
Storage
Store the model in a place inaccessible to children and observe the temperature and humidity conditions specified by the filament manufacturer.
Transportation
When transporting, use an opaque case or box. Familiarize yourself with local legislation regarding transportation of weapon replicas.

STEP-BY-STEP ASSEMBLY

Installing Rear Guide Rail
Insert the rear guide rail (A2) into the frame (A1) and secure with pin (A6).
Installing Magazine Release Button
Install the magazine release button (A4) into the frame with the textured surface facing outward.
Installing Magazine Release Spring
Insert the spring (A3) into the slot in the frame, orienting the bent end to the left. The spring should fit into the recess in the magazine release button. For easier installation, you can use tweezers. If the spring falls out of the slot, apply glue and let it set.
Trigger Assembly #1
Position the trigger (B2) and sear (B3) as shown in the picture. The red line shows how the rubber band should be attached. Depending on the rubber band diameter, it may need to be folded several times. During testing, a 25 mm diameter rubber band needed to be folded 4 times.
Trigger Assembly #2
Place the assembly from the previous step inside the main guide rail (B1), aligning the pin holes.
Trigger Assembly #3
Secure the trigger and sear in the main guide rail using pins (B4, B5).
Installing Trigger Assembly
Place the trigger assembly into the frame, aligning the holes on the frame and guide rail.
Installing Slide Stop Lever
Place the slide stop lever (A5) in the recess between the left edge of the frame and the main guide rail. Secure with pin (A7).
Installing Rear Sight
Cut 3 small pieces of filament in any bright colour and place them in the recesses in the sights. Install the rear sight (C2) on the slide (C1) by sliding it from the side. It attaches similar to "dovetail" mounting devices. If the sight doesn't stay in place, add a drop of glue.
Installing Slide Return Spring
Position the barrel (C3) and slide insert (C4) and stretch the rubber band as shown in the picture. For proper slide return function, it may be necessary to fold the rubber band. Try different configurations.
Installing Firing Pin Spring
Continue assembly by installing the firing pin (C6) on the slide insert and stretching the rubber band. For increased power, folding the rubber band may be helpful.
Installing Mechanism into Slide #1
Insert the mechanism into the slide. It's easiest to first thread the barrel through the slide, then gently lower the other end.
Installing Mechanism into Slide #2
Align the holes of the mechanism and slide and secure the assembly with pin (C5).
Installing Slide #1
Press the trigger, then install the slide assembly (C) onto the frame (A).
Installing Slide #2
Secure the resulting assembly with pin (A8).
Magazine Assembly #1
Insert the follower (D2) and spring (D3) into the magazine body (D1).
Magazine Assembly #2
While pressing the spring with your finger, close the magazine with the base plate (D4) by sliding it in.
Insert the magazine into the pistol. If the magazine doesn't go in, you'll need to press the magazine release button.
Complete!
Assembly Complete! Your Flick 19X model is ready for use. Proceed to the next section for functionality testing.

TESTING AND VERIFICATION

After completing assembly, it's necessary to conduct a functional check of the model to ensure proper assembly.

Slide Function Check
Check the smoothness of slide operation. It should move without binding and return to its original position under spring action.
Trigger Mechanism Check
Check the trigger operation. It should press smoothly and return to its original position.
Magazine Check
Check the magazine release button operation. The magazine should be easily removable and securely lock when installed.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Regular Maintenance: Proper care will extend the life of your model and preserve its appearance.
Daily Care
Regularly clean the model of dust and dirt with a soft dry cloth. Avoid using aggressive cleaning agents.
Weekly Maintenance
Check the fastening of all parts, especially moving elements. If necessary, lubricate joints with lubricant.
Monthly Maintenance
Perform complete disassembly and reassembly of the model to check the condition of all parts and mechanisms.
Long-term Storage
For long-term storage, use the original packaging. Store in a dry place at room temperature.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Common problems that may occur when using the model and ways to solve them.

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Slide binding during movement Too high PA or Flow rate Perform built-in OrcaSlicer calibrations.
Trigger doesn't return Rubber band too thick Try replacing the trigger mechanism rubber band with a smaller one. Bracelet rubber bands work well (d = 15 mm). Or apply liquid lubricant, it may help.
Magazine doesn't lock Magazine release spring deformation Check the Magazine release spring
Play in connections Too low Flow rate Perform built-in OrcaSlicer calibrations. In general, this problem is not critical as it doesn't interfere with mechanism operation
Squeaking during part movement Friction of plastic parts Process friction surfaces with sandpaper of various grits (recommended: P100-P240-P320-P600).
